A Manufacturing Sales Representative is responsible for selling a manufacturer's products to businesses by identifying potential customers, understanding their needs, demonstrating product features, negotiating prices, closing deals, and maintaining ongoing customer relationships, in-depth knowledge of the product line and industry market dynamics to provide expert advice and support to clients

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Generation:

Actively seek out new potential customers through market research, networking, attending trade shows, and following up on leads. 

  • Customer Relationship Building:

Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients by regular communication, understanding their needs, and providing excellent customer service. 

  • Product Demonstration:

Present product features and benefits to customers, showcasing how they can solve specific problems and meet their requirements. 

  • Sales Presentations:

Deliver compelling sales presentations to prospective customers, highlighting product advantages and differentiating from competitors. 

  • Needs Analysis:

Conduct thorough needs assessments with clients to identify their specific requirements and tailor product recommendations accordingly. 

  • Price Negotiation:

Negotiate pricing and contract terms with customers to reach mutually beneficial agreements. 

  • Order Processing:

Prepare and submit sales orders, ensuring accuracy in product specifications and delivery details. 

  • Sales Reporting:

Track sales performance, analyze market trends, and generate regular sales reports to management. 

  • Technical Expertise:

Develop a deep understanding of the technical aspects of the manufactured products to effectively address customer inquiries. 

  • After-Sales Support:

Provide ongoing support to customers post-sale, including addressing concerns, resolving issues, and training on product usage

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field preferred. 
  • Proven track record of success in a manufacturing sales role, ideally with experience in the specific industry
